I love the look and feel of leather furniture, but I have kids and pets, is leather a good choice for me?
Leather is extremely durable, and unless you choose a really light color (kids, crayons, markers), it is great for family settings.
Will I need to choose a fabric / material that you have in stock, or can I use any fabric I like?
For your convenience we have a good selection of fabric for you to choose from, some at a reasonable price but you are welcome to buy your material elsewhere. We will tell you how much you need to buy when we give you a quote.
Can you give me a quote over the phone, or will I have to bring my furniture to you?
We can give you an approximate quote over the phone as long as you can give us accurate measurements and answer a few basic questions. We have included a helpful check list on our website. Thanks to the computer age, we can now give you an exact quote via email if you send us a picture with your measurements.

Why should I re-upholster my furniture when I can buy new pieces for less money?
Yes, you can buy new furniture for less money, but the quality will not be anywhere near that of an older vintage piece. Most new furniture today is made in China using cheap labor and poor quality materials, like particle board instead of solid wood, elastic webbing that stretches out of shape and nails or glue instead of screws and no corner blocks. You are always welcome in our shop and we will be happy to show you the difference. Good furniture re-upholstered and well cared for will last twice as long as cheap new pieces.
What are the advantages of having my furniture custom made?
1. There are many, many advantages to custom made furniture, the best reason is that you get to design it yourself and no one else will have pieces just like yours.
2. Have you ever seen a couch or chair in a design magazine that you just LOVED, but couldnt find anything close in the store? Custom made furniture solves that problem, you can bring us the picture and we can make that piece you fell in love with.
3. The quality of our furniture is unsurpassed. Each piece has a solid wood frame, 8 way hand tied coil springs, screws, glue, double doweled, nylon webbing, first quality hand wrapped foam cushions in the firmness of your choice and corner blocks at each corner.
4. If you have an older home with small rooms and all the furniture you find is too long or big, we can make that same sofa or chair exactly, but to fit the room perfectly. You will not be able to tell the difference.
5. Of course it also has the same advantages that our upholstered and slipcovered furniture offer. You choose the fabric. You choose the style. You tell us how you want it made. Got long legs?? Short legs?? We can make your furniture to fit you.
What are the advantages of slipcovering my furniture? Why buy a custom slipcover when I can buy one at the store for a fraction of the cost?
1. There is really no comparison between a custom slipcover and one bought at a retail store. The ones available at the store are one size fits all and you have very few fabrics and styles to choose from. Everyone that sees your furniture will know it is slipcovered.
2. Custom slipcovers are professionally tailored to fit your sofa and only your sofa. They fit so perfectly that your sofa will look new or upholstered.
3. A separate cover is made for the body of the furniture and each individual cushion. You can order a slipcover to fit tightly or shabby sheik. We make them to suit your taste.
4. Slipcovers are great for that accidental wine spill, pets and children. They can be removed and cleaned.
5. A slipcover can change the look of a whole room in a matter of minutes. You can have a Summer look and a Winter look or a holiday look, its all up to you.
6. All slipcovers are made with nylon zippers, and all seams are surged. Our slipcovers wont unravel in the wash and our zippers dont leave rust stains.
What are the advantages of having my furniture re-upholstered?
1. When we re-upholster your furniture we inspect the structure and integrity of the frame. If there are problems, they can be repaired, this adds to the life of your furniture.
2. When we re-upholster all old covers are removed and a fresh layer of batting or cotton is added. This takes care of any odors, allergens, and dust mites that can cause health problems.
3. Re-upholstered furniture looks brand new, fresh from the show room.
4. When we re-upholster any problems with exposed wood, such as scratches, dings and discoloration can be resolved.
5. When we re-upholster your furniture you select a fabric and style that reflects your personality and taste. When complete the re-upholstered piece is unique to you.
